RISING STAR - BREAKING THE CURSE

Despite a known cure, over 700 leprosy colonies span India. Those affected often spend their lives completely isolated from society, even if they have been cured. They, and family members sometimes find it impossible to marry, receive education or find work. Two young LDS volunteers reaching out in pure love and selfless service to the one of the most outcaste and ignored part of the society -The leapers via Rising Star Outreach, a Chennai based NGO which is committed to help the leprosy colonies become thriving, self-sufficient communities.

Church Launches 'Light the World' Christmas Initiative

A Christmas initiative to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and encourage people to serve others is being launched by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Gratitude for Rajahmundry Stake Formation
 

The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were excited to gather in their historic building in Rajahmundry, India.  The building was filled with church members from the entire chapel through the cultural hall, including seats placed on the stage.  Gratitude was felt and verbally expressed as the Rajahmundry Stake was formed on December 18, 2016. 

India's YSA Gathered in Hyderabad for a Country-wide 2016 Conference

The 2016 Young Single Adult Conference was held in Hyderabad, India at the Summer Green Resort on October 27-29, 2016 .  Young Single Adults (YSA) are a group of single adults from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Hyderabad villages in the State of Telengana have been celebrating the arrival of reverse osmosis units.  The reverse osmosis water filtration systems have been donated by LDS Charities.  LDS Charities is the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
