Church President, Russell M. Nelson, visits Bengaluru, India.  

“These opportunities to get closer to India are very precious to me,” said President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as he reached Bengaluru, India, Thursday, April 19, 2018, the fifth of eight cities on his “Global Ministry Tour. The prophet traveled to Asia following a series of meetings in Europe and Africa.

Eight New General Authority Seventies Announced at April 2018 General Conference

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the calls of eight new General Authority Seventies and 55 Area Seventies during the Saturday afternoon session of the April 2018 general conference. President Dallin H. Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency, made the announcement.

New Young Women Presidency Announced at April 2018 General Conference

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced a new Young Women general presidency and a new first counselor in the Primary general presidency during the Saturday afternoon session of the 188th Annual General Conference. President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency announced that Bonnie H. Cordon will serve as general president of the Young Women organization, which is for female Church members ages 12 through 17. Michelle Craig has been called as the first counselor, and Becky Craven will serve as second counselor.

President and Sister Nelson to Embark on Global Ministry Tour

As announced last month, President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his wife, Wendy, along with Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Patricia, will visit Europe, Africa and Asia in April. The leaders of the global faith are scheduled to leave Salt Lake City and visit eight cities in 11 days April 10–23, 2018.

Artistic Rendering of Bangkok Thailand Temple Released

A detailed artistic rendering of the Bangkok Thailand Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was released today. The rendering features a majestic 44,405-square-foot, six-story temple with multiple spires reaching heavenward. The temple will be built with the finest materials and workmanship available and be aesthetically pleasing to the community as a religious house of worship.

Mother Newborn Kits Delivered to Swami Dayanand Hospital

Members from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints assembled 1,500 mother newborn kits for 3 hours on Nov 18, 2017 at the Vasant Vihar building.

Church Finances Are Used to Invite All to Come Unto Christ

Presiding Bishop Gérald Caussé says the true strength of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not in its financial reserves, but in the faith of its people.

“We are not a financial institution or a commercial corporation,” Bishop Caussé said Friday at a Church history symposium on Temple Square that focused on Mormon economic history. “We are The Church of Jesus Christ, and this Church has no other objective than that which the Lord Himself assigned to it; namely, to invite all to ‘come unto Christ, and be perfected in him.’”
